Bringing tradition and pride to the NDSU community...
About the HTC

We believe that the history and traditions of NDSU are an important part not only of the NDSU legacy, but the legacy that surrounds all of us at NDSU.

We strive to bring a sense of pride to the greater community by expanding on the NDSU history, traditions, and spirit.

The HTC is taking a multifaceted approach to bringing the history, traditions, and spirit to the community.  We believe that through the HTC website, special events, campus tours, student organization histories and more, we can begin to instill a greater NDSU pride in all of us.

While the NDSU HTC has developed this website and other means to help spread NDSU pride, we also need your help.  If you are interested in helping out the HTC in anyway please either post on our message board or send an email to
ndsutraditions@yahoo.com.

What we do

The History and Traditions works to unite the NDSU community through events, special projects, and research.

The HTC will put on events such as a campus legends tour, busting or verifying legends, and research anything from historical events such as Zip-to-Zap and the Old Main flag incidents, to traditions such as class fights and spinster skip.

The HTC will look into the possibilities of bringing back old traditions to building new traditions.

The HTC offers many diverse and fun opportunities to get involved, the key is to jump in and make history...
